HAMTRAMCK BLOWOUT NO. 14
Metro Times is pleased to announce Blowout 14 featuring close to 200 metro Detroit bands at 14 Hamtramck venues over four nights in early March. Blowout will take place March 3-5 2011 with a pre-party at the Magic Stick and Garden Bowl on March 2. This is the 14th year for Blowout making it one of the longest running and largest events of its kind in the country.

Blowout is Detroit's way of saying it's going to be spring soon. It's going to be warm and after spring is summer and this means music all the time. Inside and outside. So Hamtramck has blowout every year in various bars around Hamtramck and everyone gets merrily drunk while seeing yet again some great music. There's 200 bands and for $20.00 that covers 4 days! That's an unbelieveable value. because if you go every day you're basically seeing bands for free at that point. One of the best parts about blowout is if you don't like something you can check the schedule and go to a different bar and watch something else for free!
