Scum play an aggressive punk sound influenced by d-beat, noise and many other things.
Let's get into D-beat for a brief second, Dbeat started popping up in the 80s hardcore scene all over around the world. In places like Sweden, England, & many others. It was influenced by speed metal. The d-beat is a drum beat started by Discharge.
I hear many other types of raw noise in Scum. Most commonly is Japanese raw noise. One example is Gai.
