The Superior Bugout presents an evening of visual art landscapes by Detroit's well established Graffiti Artists GASM and ELMER with very loud live sounds produced by Detroit Bands: Gardens, Illy Mack and the DIY Brooklyn based art project visionaries Japanther. 

 ABOUT THE SHOW:
Fourteen-Eighty Gallery was created recently local Detroiter Miles Michaels. It continues to be able to be a part of the growing arts community in downtown Detroit.


"The Superior Bugout seeks to bring a synergy of sight and sound, combining elements of the streets with contemporary sound visionaries. The party aesthetic comes from Brooklyn based multimedia artist Andrew H. Shirley, who's film / sculpture work appeared in Detroit's Rapture party of 2011, and most recently in the Museum of Sex in NYC as well in the Fountain exhibition at the 2012 Armory show."  -Fourteen Eighty Gallery

Amy Gore & Her Valentines!

Okay so, first there was, the Gore Gore Girls and then Gorevette with Nikki Corvette and now Amy is in, Amy Gore & her Valentines. Amy and her band are putting together a new album and new pledges in order to complete it.

Scum play an aggressive punk sound influenced by d-beat, noise and many other things.

Let's get into D-beat for a brief second, Dbeat started popping up in the 80s hardcore scene all over around the world. In places like Sweden, England, & many others. It was influenced by speed metal. The d-beat is a drum beat started by Discharge. 

I hear many other types of raw noise in Scum. Most commonly is Japanese raw noise. One example is Gai.

Everyone I Know -FIRST TRAILER!

This awesome portrayal of the Detroit Scene started on June 16th 2011. It was formerly titled, "URGH! A Detroit Music War."

The creators had this to say, "Everyone I Know is a feature length documentary that will be released in the summer of 2012. It showcases dozens of uniquely varied Detroit bands, post garage-boom, captured live from venues in & around the city."
