Veteran Rocker Ryan Allen & his Extra Arms are coming to The Loving Touch in Ferndale. This show is an album release party for Ryan Allen. He's been playing shows for a solid 13 years now and is finally settling down with a solo project. Ryan has been in 7 bands up until this solo project. Including:Thunderbirds Are Now!, Red Shirt Brigade, Tiny Steps, Friendly Foes, and The Cold Wave. While working and playing shows for His Extra Arms he's also playing guitar and vocals in Destroy This Place. Apparently a portion of His Extra Arms are songs he put aside while in other bands to save for a later date.
Allen’s solo debut features production work and collaborative efforts from long-time friend and producer Dave Feeny (Blanche, White Stripes, Dirtbombs, TAN!, Friendly Foes, etc.), as well as contributions from His Extra Arms: guest vocals from the Cold Wave’s A.J. Sherman, keyboard work from Thunderbirds Are Now!/Big Mess/Arranged Marriage guru (and brother) Scott Allen, Silent Years violinist Cassandra Verras, saxophone from FAWN, Copper Thieves, and Child Bite member Christian Doble, guitar wrangling from John Nelson, he of New Grenada, Copper Thieves, and Destroy This Place, and Scott Stimac, former shredder from Bang! Bang! and Wallside. But Allen did play all the guitars, bass, drums, lead vocals, piano, and most other accoutrements himself.
His Self titled album(Bellyache Records) will be released on March 26th at the Loving Touch in Ferndale so come out and have fun! WSG- BIG MESS and COPPER THIEVES.
